Jeff
Dickshinski, born in Garden Grove, California, grew up in various parts
of the United States (most by water) as the son of a Naval officer. A full
time commercial artist, Jeff has lived in the Washington, DC area for the
past 20 years and counts as his “teachers” the wonderful collections
of French Impressionist works in area museums. A self-taught fine-arts artist,
Jeff's education includes the study of color and techniques of French Impressionists
and Post Impressionists, and is heavily influenced by Monet and Sisley.
The artist strives to capture the interplay of light and color reflected
in nature.
Recently the artist spent a year in the Florida Keys to rejuvenate and absorb
the brilliant color and light of the area. While there he studied the techniques
of Charles Hawthorne, founder of the Cape Cod School of Art and accomplished
early american impressionist.
The reproductions of Jeff’s work offered here are of exceptional color
fidelity to the originals, with the artist personally overseeing each step
of creating the limited edition.
